We are currently seeking a Software Developer. The ideal candidate will code various programs, acquiring an in-depth knowledge leading to subject matter expertise in one or more areas of the application. This individual will also design and program special requests, enhancements, conversions and defect repairs.
Position Qualifications
- 4 year degree in Computer Science
- 2-5 years software development experience; mass spectra / instrumentation preferred
- Experience with several high-level programming languages
- Experience with Windows and Visual Studio Development Environment
- Knowledge of Client / Server concepts
- Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of staff and management
Primary Responsibilities
- Code solutions for special requests, conversions, enhancements and defects: Relational database coding; review inputs, processes and outputs; code required changes and / or corrections; make library code changes as necessary; unit test all code changes; develop operator instructions where needed
- Develop product functionality based upon customer, vendor and industry specifications
- Respond to customer service inquiries concerning existing and / or new system functionality
- Coordinate with various departments, third party vendors and customers for documentation release and testing purposes
- Troubleshoot system capabilities and research issues; assist science staff with release notes and documentation
